Scindapsus
Botanical name: Scindapsus spp.
Common names: Satin Pothos, Silver Pothos, Silk Pothos
Scindapsus is a lush, trailing tropical plant known for its velvety, heart-shaped leaves often splashed with silvery variegation. Its elegant foliage and trailing or climbing habit make it a favorite for shelves, hanging planters, and moss poles. Though often mistaken for Pothos (Epipremnum), Scindapsus is a genus of its own—and tends to grow a bit slower, with thicker, more textured leaves.
Native to Southeast Asia, Scindapsus is a low-maintenance, air-purifying houseplant that thrives with minimal care, making it ideal for both beginners and collectors.
